Club News:
April 15th
1) The side entrance will be locked
from now on. It is only to be used in case of an emergency.
Smoking is not allowed within 20 feet of the front door. Please help
us make our club a healthy environment.
2) There will be a
donation box for a charity organisation where you deposit old (good
condition) shoes for needy people. Please see Andy Howarth with any
questions.
3) Congratulations to Hans who won
the weekly draw on Sunday 13th. You too can win the weekly draw but
you MUST be present and be a member to do so! See below for
competition rules.
4) Thanks to Steve Barrett who has
helped us increase membership recently by contacting old members and
actively pursuing people who try to use our club and it's benefits
without becoming members.
5) Thanks to Rod Rosso for a great
night at the club. Hopefully we can get him to return more often.
6) Thanks to the FFC the
Semi-finals and the FINAL of the Champions league will be free
admission this year. Please come down and support our club. Tell
your boss you're sick that day.
7) Booze Nooze > The addition
of our Magners Cider has been very popular. We are looking into
getting a draught system for it. Also, there will be a beer tasting
night on 25th April. Beer samples (mostly German) will be available
at very, very inexpensive prices.
8) A central notice board is to be
added to the area between the Ladies and Gents bathrooms. Please
look there for any club news in the future.
9) Thank you to the LA Riot squad
(Galaxy fan club) for another great night at our club. They are
always extremely courteous and positive despite the Galaxy's lack of
winning ways.
10) Future possible events:
Fathers Day dinner, Racing night (pretend gambling,) Rainbow cottage
evening, St. George's Day celebration, Mexican beer special for
Cinco de Mayo, Breakfast with the Beatles radio show at the club.

We are trying to move into the 20th century (yes 20th) and we need
emails if possible to reduce paperwork, waste and save money.
12) Many thanks to Stewart McDougall
for another excellent club magazine this month. Stewart graciously
accepted the challenge to produce the magazine recently for a while
and has done an excellent job. Next month's magazine will be in a
newsletter/flyer format and will only contain news regarding the
British & Dominion Social Club. Watch this space!
13) Please attend the Jimmy Burns
Roast on Sat May 10th. Food will be available for $10. Tickets need
to be purchased in advance to allow us to know numbers for the food
.BE WARNED! There may be adult words used at the roast! No
Children allowed in the club that night after 7pm!

club.
